Feeding People, Fueling Change with Maddy Goldberg (Ep. 178)
Maddy Goldberg has always been a foodie. While studying social work at a university in Canada, she started sharing simple, affordable meals online through her Cook Eat account. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew as people connected with her approachable recipes and practical tips.
Although she went on to attend culinary school and work in high-end professional kitchens, Maddy realized she wanted her career to reflect more than fine dining — it needed to reflect her values.
Today, she runs a food business focused on recipe development, social media content and private dinners, donating a portion of each event to charity. She also volunteers at a food bank, preparing meals from available ingredients and using her platform to shed light on the realities of food insecurity.
In this episode of Flip Your Script with Kristi Piehl, Maddy shares how she blended her culinary training with her heart for service to build a purpose-driven career. She also explains how social media can be used not just to share recipes, but to educate, advocate and create a meaningful community around food.
